On June 14, 100 Bain Capital employees, family members and friends participated in the Eversource Walk for Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH). To date, the Bain Capital Community Partnership (BCCP) team has raised over $45,000, exceeding its original $35,000 target and last year’s total of $34,000, to support BCH’s exceptional care and groundbreaking research. Through the individual efforts of team members as well an office-wide Casual for a Cause fundraiser that raised $1,175, the BCCP team is currently the 2nd highest team fundraiser.

“We had a great day and a great team this year. It was a lot of fun and we climbed our way up to Team #2 by raising over $45,000,” said team captain and Bain Capital Managing Director Marlene Reynolds. “It was a real team effort with 14 people raising more than $1,000 to become Miracle Makers.  Join us next year!”

The Eversource Walk is BCH’s largest single-day event. More than 5,000 patient families, doctors, nurses, corporate sponsors and hospital leadership participated in the 2015 Walk at Baxter Park in Somerville, Massachusetts. Since its inception in 2002, the Walk has raised more than $15 million to support BCH. Funds raised support the Children’s Fund, strengthening the areas of greatest need. The support of walkers and their donors helps countless children and their families get the care they need. As in year’s past, BCCP served as a sponsor of the 2015 Walk.
